We keep the hamper/laundry basket in the bathroom or bedroom, put our dirty clothes in it at the end of the day. American English:
1) a hamper: in a laundry room, a basket for dirty laundry. We keep the hamper/laundry basket in the bathroom or bedroom, put our dirty clothes in it at the end of the day. On laundry day, we carry the hamper to the laundry room.
