Silent B: plumber

I wonder how an American pronounces…
plumber … plumbing
/ˈplʌm-ɚ/ … /ˈplʌm-ɪŋ/

We write:  plumber … plumbing
We say:  /ˈplʌm-ɚ/… /ˈplʌm-ɪŋ/

There is one written letter that is not pronounced:  b.

A plumber fixes plumbing.

Plumbing is the collection of pipes that bring liquid in and out of a building.

A plumber’s helper is a tool that families have at home.  When you have a problem, you first try the plumber’s helper… and if that doesn’t work, you have to call a plumber.

If the plumber does a good job, water will flow again from the faucet.
